Paradise lost, revisited
It is always welcome and refreshing to see an original idea applied to well-known material. This album takes us back to the lost paradise of childhood, through beloved, universally familiar melodies.
The fact that a tune destined for children is simple and easy to remember does not mean it is necessarily simplistic or naive. The digital elaboration, without altering the original form, brings out the beauty and sometimes the hidden intricacy of melodies we have learnt to take for granted, since they have been "embedded" in our subconscious memory.
There is a dormant child in every adult, that will never stop being fascinated by the "primitive" clarity and addictive rhythms of these tunes.
